Young American pilot Bryan Sellers joins Team HLM with a racing resume that reflects not only his
determination and drive to succeed in professional motorsports, but his talent for adapting and strong
versatility. The 23 year-old Ohio native began his life behind the wheel at the age of 9 in a Briggs
& Stratton powered Margay kart. His days honing his skills on the karting scene paid off with the
1998 World Karting Association National Championship title. People took note of his talent and he earned
the opportunity that year to drive in the Star Mazda Series. He quickly added two series wins to his list
of accomplishments.
The following year, Sellers collected the Skip Barber Midwestern Region Championship with a performance
that earned him Rookie of the Year honors with 15 victories to his credit. Continuing on with the Skip
Barber development program, Bryan made an impressive charge at the 2000 Skip Barber National Championship.
He garnered 7 wins, just missing the title with a 2nd-place overall finish. In 2002, Sellers
added another championship to his list of accolades with the Formula Ford Zetec title. His season included
7 pole positions, 8 victories, and 10 podium finishes. Bryan was making a big impression on those in the
motorsports industry and that was reflected when the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters
Association selected him to the prestigious All-American First Team. His standout run that year also
earned him a test with the prominent Champ Car World Series team Newman-Haas Racing.
In 2004, Bryan tested his skills in the ultra-competitive Toyota Atlantic Series Championship,
collecting 3 podium and 10 top-ten finishes in just 12 events. The following year Sellers would make
his jump into the sports car world in a big way, earning the Rolex GT Series pole position in his first
start at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. He did double duty, also contesting the American Le Mans Series
GT2 as a Panoz Motor Sports works driver.
Bryan’s attitude on the track is only outshined by his attitude of the track. He has earned a
reputation for professionalism and has an infectious positive approach to life. As wee see it, his
resume has room for many more success stories.
